On January 8, 2009, the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Guangzhou International Commodities Exhibition and Trade City was held in the project plot of Hualong Town, Panyu District. Li Rongcan, member of the municipal standing Party committee and vice mayor, Ping Xinguang, vice president of the municipal CPPCC and other leaders attended the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Commodities Exhibition and Trade City project.
